This is the complete list of the published work of Cormac Brindlecott to 29 September 2026, including items subsequently corrected and items withdrawn. The Institute publishes complete lists rather than selected lists, on the ground that a list from which errors have been removed is not a record of what was published.

All items appeared under the imprint of the Brennholt Institute of Applied Taxonomy or in its Bulletin of the IBTA. The Institute is not a standards body and none of the scales listed below has been ratified by any external authority.

Monograph

2024Towards a Normal Classification. Brennholt: IBTA. 412 pp., 87 illustrations. The manuscript contained the seven diameter classes, of which five were published in 2025 and two withheld until 2026. One chapter was withdrawn by the author in December 2024 and has not been reinstated. The book is sold incomplete.

Citation

The Institute states two figures wherever the total is given: the work has been cited seventeen times, and sixteen of the seventeen citations are by the author. In a field of four researchers the unqualified total would mislead, and the Institute declines to print it alone.

What is not listed

Nothing. Two items below were withdrawn and both remain on the list with their withdrawal attached: the 2025 note on box-fill tolerance, withdrawn on an arithmetic error found by the review panel, and the 2026 first statement of the M-series, superseded within four months by the version now published. A third item, the 2026 entry admitting the solitary fastener to the register, was withdrawn and then reinstated unchanged.
